Technology Intern (Summer 2025)

About KIPP Colorado:

KIPP Colorado Schools is part of the national KIPP network of tuition-free, open enrollment college-preparatory public charter schools dedicated to preparing students from underserved communities for success in college and life. We are a network of six high-performing, college-preparatory public charter schools that educate students from ECE through 12th grade. We currently serve two communities within Denver; the Northeast and Southwest. Both communities serve students in elementary, middle and high school.

About the Technology Intern Position:

The technology intern will be responsible for executing work plans for the technology team, including cleaning, maintaining, and tracking the inventory of technology hardware for all six schools in the KIPP Colorado network. This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position based in the school. The technology intern will report directly to the Technology Manager. This role has duties in the Green Valley Ranch and Southwest Denver areas.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Device Maintenance

  • Follow protocols to complete basic maintenance on returned student devices
  • Follow protocols to complete basic maintenance on technology carts
  • Accurately update technology inventory database as directed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America 
  • KIPP Alumni pursuing career or CTE tracks (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to reliably travel to all six schools in our network in southwest Denver and Green Valley Ranch
  • Experience working in a school or non-profit preferred
  • Reliable, organized and task oriented
  • Willingness and ability to follow set guidelines accurately and in a timely manner
  • Comfort with working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Passionate commitment to KIPP Colorado mission and to high standards of excellence

Compensation and Benefits

  • This position pays $18/hr
  • Paid sick leave accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
  • Participation in PERA
  • Eligible for overtime pay
